Additional Information
Circuit Design Suite 10.0.1 supports Windows Vista/XP/2000 32-bit editions and Windows Vista 64-bit edition. Circuit Design Suite 10.0.1 does not support Windows NT/Me/98/95.
Refer to the Circuit Design Suite Release Notes for a complete list of system requirements.
If you have Circuit Design Suite 10.0 installed, you can install Circuit Design Suite 10.0.1 without first uninstalling Circuit Design Suite 10.0. An NI Activation Wizard dialog may appear upon starting a Circuit Design Suite product for the first time after upgrading to 10.0.1. To activate the product using a saved activation code, select the desired code and click Next. Note: Because Circuit Design Suite installs 10.0.1 over 10.0, you cannot have both Circuit Design Suite 10.0 and 10.0.1 installed simultaneously.
If you do not have Circuit Design Suite 10.0 installed, you can install Circuit Design Suite 10.0.1 without first installing Circuit Design Suite 10.0.
Refer to the Circuit Design Suite Release notes for more information about installing Circuit Design Suite.
You can control programmatically which features in the Circuit Design Suite distribution to enable or disable for installation. You can therefore install a subset of the Circuit Design Suite distribution silently. Refer to the silent_install.txt file in the Supportfiles directory on the Circuit Design Suite CD for more information about installing Circuit Design Suite silently and selecting which features to install automatically.
You cannot install Circuit Design Suite 10.0 in the same directory as a previous version of Multisim/Ultiboard. In order to install Circuit Design Suite 10.0 into a directory that contains a previous version of Multisim/Ultiboard, you must uninstall the previous version of Multisim/Ultiboard first. You should also backup the corporate database, located in <INSTALLDIR>\database\CPCOMP_S.PRJ, because the file will be replaced.
Circuit Design Suite relies on licensing activation. You have a temporary license for a 30-day evaluation period. If you do not activate the Circuit Design Suite license, Circuit Design Suite operates in evaluation, by default, for a 30-day evaluation period. When the evaluation period expires, you must activate a valid Circuit Design Suite license to continue using Circuit Design Suite. To activate the Circuit Design Suite license, use the serial number you received as part of your installation package.
If you are upgrading from Circuit Design Suite 10.0, and you install Circuit Design Suite 10.0.1 without first uninstalling Circuit Design Suite 10.0, you do not need to activate the Circuit Design Suite license.
Refer to the Circuit Design Suite Release Notes for more information about licensing in Circuit Design Suite.
