DelinvFile is a utility program that you can use to delete data files
that you have not been able to delete using the normal Windows Delete
function.

DelinvFile was first released January, 2004, as FreeWare. The initial
release provided the following functions:

  - Delete File via Short Name.
  - Delete File via it UNC name

Where Short Name is the shortened version of Long Filenames that
are created to fit the 8.3 format. That is, the name is only 8
characters and the extension is only 3 characters. The system
normally maintains both in its directory structure.

UNC is an acronym for Universal Naming Convention. By example, the
FileName "C:\temp\test.doc" would be represented by
    "\\?\C:\temp\test.doc".

DelinvFile was soon upgraded to include support for deleting folders.

The current version of DelinvFile is a commercial product and is being
marketed as try-before-you-buy software. This is commonly referred to
as ShareWare.

As the FreeWare version of DelinvFile has become so popular and has been
referenced on many download sites and been referenced in several web
forums and newsgroups, the decision has been made to keep the original
program functions FREE in the commercial version.

The commercial version of DelinvFile makes available additional
functions which require licensing (registration) for them to work.

To register, click the "Help" menu option and select
"Purchase License - Register" from the dropdown menu. This
presents a Registration window from which you can access online
Registration, etc..
